Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) – Authenticity Testing at Its Best
Traditional tests detect 1 species – and you need to know what you’re looking for. SYNLAB’s NGS authenticity testing identifies thousands of species – from the domestic and farmed, to the obscure and exotic.
This new technology exploits advances in DNA sequencing that allows for rapid determination of DNA sequences in a sample. Our NGS test uses the technology of the future to provide on-going security to the food supply chain and peace of mind for consumers.
The SYNLAB NGS test provides identification of over 7000 meat and fish species present in any given sample. No longer do you need to ask “is there beef/chicken/cod present?” The question now is “what’s in my sample?”.
